How can you add photos to your favorites in Piwigo and find them again easily? In this article, we summarize all our tips.
Add a photo to your favorites from your gallery
Users who are logged in can add a photo to their favorites from the Piwigo gallery in order to find it again later.
From a photo's page, click on the "Add this photo to your favorites" icon. In most galleries, this icon is shaped like a heart, but this may change depending on your theme.
Once a photo has been added to your favorites, the heart-shaped icon changes shape. Click on this icon to remove the photo from your favorites.
Finding your favorites in the gallery
To find your favorites, go to the Your favorites page.
The location of this page depends on your theme and your menu's settings, but, in most cases, it is accessible through the "Explore" menu (for the Modus theme) or "Discover" (for the Bootstrap Darkroom theme).
From the "Your favorites" page, you can remove all photos from your favorites by clicking on the dedicated icon.
Manage favorites in a batch
In the administration, the batch manager lets you apply changes in bulk to your favorites. To access the batch manager, go in the administration, in the Photos > Batch Manager menu. You can easily find your favorites again thanks to the "Your favorites" predefined filter.
You can then select the photos to be modified among your favorite photos or select them all, and choose the action to be performed.

Quick Fav: Add a photo to the favorites from the Album page
By default, the "Add to favorites" button is only accessible from a photo's page.
The Quick Fav plugin allows you to add a photo with one click from its thumbnail, on the Album page or another listing page.
It also lets you add all the content of an album to your favorites in one click.
User Collections: Sort your favorites into themed collections
If you need to create multiple themed selections, the User Collections plugin is made for you!
It lets you create collections, add files to them, and share them via link or email.
